Safoev Sherzod Rustamovich

Physician in ultrasound diagnostics, internist. Safoev Sherzod Rustamovich is a practicing specialist combining outpatient consultations with the performance of a wide range of ultrasound examinations in adults and children. He is a member of the Russian Association of Specialists in Ultrasound Diagnostics in Medicine (RASUDM), the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB), and the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB).

He graduated from the Acad. E.A. Vagner Perm State Medical University with a degree in General Medicine, then completed a residency in ultrasound diagnostics at PSMU and professional retraining in Health Care Organization and Public Health at the Academy of Professional Development.

In clinical practice he performs comprehensive ultrasound examinations in children and adults: organs of the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space (with functional tests), the urinary system, elastography of the liver and superficial organs (thyroid and mammary glands, soft tissues, lymph nodes), echocardiography with assessment of myocardial deformation (GLS-strain), ultrasound of the male pelvic organs, duplex examination of arteries and veins of various locations, neurosonography, and ultrasound of the hip joints in newborns.

Safoev Sherzod Rustamovich is the head of the diagnostic department of the VitaMedika medical center in Yekaterinburg, where he is responsible for organizing the work of the ultrasound service and developing new areas, including elastography and advanced vascular examinations.

In the Medtrain and MedTrain Asia projects he serves as a teacher and mentor at internships and courses in ultrasound diagnostics, paying special attention to international standards, imaging quality, and practical scanning skills.
