Ultrasound diagnostics physician, internal medicine physician, cardiologist, member of the RASUDM association, member of the Eurasian Society of Internists, member of the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB), author of more than 10 publications in the specialty. Elena Olegovna Shchukina is a specialist with 16 years of experience, combining clinical work in internal medicine, cardiology, and ultrasound diagnostics with teaching activities. She sees patients and performs examinations at the Fomina Clinic (Saint Petersburg), and also works as a cardiologist and ultrasound diagnostics physician at SPb GBUZ GP No. 112.

She graduated from the Northern State Medical University (NSMU, Arkhangelsk) with a degree in General Medicine (2009), completed a clinical internship in internal medicine (2010), a residency in cardiology (2012), and then professional retraining in ultrasound diagnostics and an additional course in ultrasound diagnostics of the cardiovascular system (2014). She also completed continuing education in occupational pathology and matters of temporary disability assessment.

Elena Olegovna's professional path includes work as a hospital cardiologist, district internist, ultrasound diagnostics physician, and cardiologist in Arkhangelsk, the Far North (Komi Republic), Yaroslavl, and Saint Petersburg, which gives her a broad clinical perspective on cardiological and therapeutic pathology across different settings — from outpatient clinics to inpatient hospitals.

As an ultrasound diagnostics physician, she specializes in ultrasound of the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space, thyroid and mammary glands, pelvic organs, kidneys, prostate, soft tissues, as well as ultrasound assessment of the cardiovascular system.

In her work, Elena Olegovna combines the clinical reasoning of an internist and cardiologist with the capabilities of ultrasound imaging, drawing on current guidelines and many years of practical experience.
