Fundamentals of breast ultrasound
- — 1.1. Anatomy of the breast: normal structure, age-related changes. Physical principles of ultrasound: interaction of ultrasound with tissues
- — 1.2. Ultrasound device setup: image optimization
- — 1.3. Scanning technique: radial, antiradial, axillary region. Ultrasound artifacts and methods of their identification
Additional ultrasound methods
- — 2.1. CDM (color Doppler mapping): assessment of vascularization of lesions
- — 2.2. Elastography: assessment of tissue elasticity, differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lesions
BI-RADS classification
- — 3.1. BI-RADS categories: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (4A, 4B, 4C), 5, 6. Criteria for each category: description, management tactics
- — 3.2. Application of BI-RADS for standardization of conclusions
Diagnosis of breast pathologies
- — 4.1. Cysts: simple, complex, complicated. Differential diagnosis
- — 4.2. Fibroadenomas: typical, atypical. Malignancy criteria
